General
The Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar Olympic White RW is ex-Smiths guitarist's signature model. Apart from being in The Smiths, Marr also teamed up with The The, Brian Ferry and The Pretenders. This beautifully balanced cream-white guitar is based on the asymmetrical body shape of the classic Fender Jaguar but with a few notable differences.
Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar Olympic White: balanced and of high quality
A deeper belly contour ensures that the alder body of this American Jaguar feels even more comfortable when you're playing it. Its short-scale maple neck was copied from the full, rugged neck of Johnny Marr's own 1965 Fender Jaguar and fitted with a rosewood fretboard with vintage frets and radius. The result is a high-quality Fender with a balanced base sound with a hint of sweet precision.
More stable and versatile
The single-coil pickups of the 1962 Jaguar serve as the base for the specially wound Bare Knuckle pickups. This guitar's pickup switch has a fourth position that combines the two single-coils to form a single humbucker. Additionally, there's a treble boost right above the neck pickup for that humbucker, as well as an overall high-pass filter to lay some extra emphasis on the famous Fender trebles. As the bridge features Mustang saddles as well as nylon tubing, this Fender Johnny Marr is a joy to play on and retains its tuning excellently. All the good bits of the traditional Jaguar with plenty of extras.
