Fresh from the 2024 Collection, the Fender Made in Japan Hybrid II Stratocaster HSS combines timeless vintage aesthetics with modern specifications, completing a high-performance hybrid Strat. The classic Stratocaster body shape has been carved from a solid chunk of alder before being loaded up with a full set of Hybrid II Custom Voiced pickups, where two single-coils take up the neck and middle positions and a humbucker takes up the bridge position, resulting in familiar yet thicker Fender-grade sound. Toggle the push/pull tone pot to split the dual coil down the middle and take things right back to where it all began. The backside of the maple neck has been coated in satin-gloss and finished with a C-profile which, combined with the tried-and-tested 9.5 inch fretboard radius, polishes off comfy and controlled playability. Basically, this axe has been designed to serve as an extension of yourself - and a pretty deluxe extension at that - especially since this model features a rare rosewood fretboard. Other more practical, but just as essential, details include the two-point tremolo bridge and a handy set of locking tuners, all of which go into polishing off a super-stable tonal gymnast of a six-string.
