The Fender Classic Series '50s Stratocaster is the most affordable way of owning Start with that coveted '50s vibe. This is a limited edition model in Rangoon Red, a colour we know from classic American sports cars. Although they say 'if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck', that's not completely true in this case. While this limited edition guitar may look and sound just like a valuable 1950s Start, it's much more affordable. Do keep in mind that this Rangoon Red Fender Stratocaster will only be available in limited numbers.
Limited Edition '50s Start: Vintage Features
In making this guitar, Fender closely followed the blueprint set by the original model from the 1950s. For instance, the alder body features deep body contours and comfortable rounded edges, while the soft V-shaped neck and slim '50s-style headstock also add to this guitar's vintage features. The maple fretboard has 21 frets, which is also in line with its classic design. Three alnico single-coil pickups give it that coveted '50s punch, while the Kluson-style tuners and single-ply pickguard are excellent finishing touches. Its subtly aged plastic parts further add to this Rangoon Red '50s Stratocaster's vintage look.
Limited Edition: Cadillac Colours
While the Classic series is a mainstay in Fender's assortment, these limited edition models certainly are not. Design-wise, this Rangoon Red edition and its two siblings are inspired by classic Cadillacs from the 1950s, with their striking yet stylish colours. Deze Stratocaster speelt onberispelijk goed. Persoonlijk vindt ik dit een van de mooiste kleuren voor een Stratocaster. De kleur is net iets levendige dan bijvoorbeeld Fiesta Red. De vintage looks op deze gitaar zijn subtiel aanwezig.
Deze Fende Special Edidion '50s Stratocaster wordt geleverd in een originele Fender Gig bag. Dit is een prima tas maar voor transport kies ik liever een koffer.
Ik hoop stellig dat Fender meer met deze kleur meer gaat doen. Dit is immers niet voor niets een historische kleur in de Americaanse auto industrie.

They're releasing no fewer than six Factory Special Run (FSR) models, based on their Classic '50s and '60s series. Each model features its own unique colour, derived from the distinctive, original Cadillac hues of the fifties and sixties.
