General

This Fender Stratocaster in Canary Diamond is a Special Edition model from the Classic series. With its rosewood fretboard, artificially aged pickguard and pickup covers, this Strat is just like the legendary 1964 model - which many guitarists consider the Holy Grail of guitars. This particular model is part of the Factory Special Run (FSR) series, which means it's only available in limited numbers. A true collector's item, then, but don't think this guitar doesn't have the sound to prove it. Thanks to the 5-way pickup switch, it's a highly versatile instrument. Whether you like, blues, rock or surf, this Fender will not let you down!

Special Edition '60s Stratocaster: construction

As we said, this Stratocaster is highly versatile, partly thanks to its alder body, which gives it a balanced tone with powerful mids. It's also very lightweight, ensuring this guitar is comfortable to play as well. Furthermore, not only does the rosewood fretboard look good, it also gives this Fender a warm sound that's ideal for chords and sweet solos. A traditional synchronised tremolo and vintage-style tuners ensure the guitar stays in tune, while it's also fitted with an artificially aged pickguard to really give it that '60s look. Finally, three Vintage-Style Single-Coil Strat pickups take care of this FSR Fender's bright, versatile sound.

They're releasing no fewer than six Factory Special Run (FSR) models, based on their Classic '50s and '60s series. Each model features its own unique colour, derived from the distinctive, original Cadillac hues of the fifties and sixties.
