This limited-edition Explorer is crafted from mahogany, with a maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard that was temporarily seized by the US government and later returned to Gibson. With only 300 units worldwide, this model is a true collector’s item. The distinctive Government Tan nitrocellulose finish gives it a rugged look, whilst the Dirty Fingers+ humbuckers in both the bridge and neck positions deliver a powerful range of tones. Thanks to the slim Slim Taper neck with 22 medium jumbo frets, Grover Rotomatic tuning machines and a stable Tune-O-Matic bridge, this Explorer offers a modern playing feel that befits its unique origins.
