Decked out with an AA flame maple top and dipped in a fresh and tasty Translucent Cherry paint job, Gibson offer up an extra-special treat in the form of this Original Collection Les Paul Standard ‘50s six-string. The transparent lacquer puts the complex wood grain of the maple on full display, perfectly framing a fat pair of Burstbucker pickups: powerful yet elegant passive humbuckers loaded with Alnico II magnets to guarantee supreme dynamic response. The Gibson Original Collection Les Paul Standard ‘50s electric guitar comes complete with a form-fitting hardshell case.
The Gibson Les Paul Standard ‘50s: Authentic Playability
This throwback-style Gibson LP features a mahogany neck finished with a round Vintage '50s profile to complete authentic playability, and this is teamed up with a rosewood fretboard with a 12 inch radius and twenty-two medium jumbo frets to ensure that grabbing chords as well as leads has a light and nimble feel all the way up the neck. Other salient details include the Graph Tech nut, which mimics the warmth and improved resonance of bone while upping the tuning stability, and an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminium stop bar, which combine to supply a solid base. To fully polish off the old-school vibe, this axe comes topped with a full set of Vintage Deluxe machine heads complete with classic Keystone tuning buttons.
