Plucked out of the later half of the '50s and firmly planted in the present, the Gibson Original Collection Les Paul Standard 50s boasts an era-accurate playing feel founded on the slimmer, thinner Vintage '50s profile of the set-in mahogany neck. This all-American LP STD also bears a classic 12" fretboard radius, a rosewood fretboard, and a set of familiar medium jumbo frets to sure-up the fluid playing feel, while the stability is assured by the ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, Aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, and Vintage Deluxe Keystone tuners.

The Les Paul Standard '50s: Burstbucker Pickups

It nearly goes without saying that this classically styled Gibson LP solidbody comes finished with a maple top to complete a tonal foundation that hits that much-loved, warm and full, mid-frequency-rich sweet spot with precisely the right amount of definition. This is then firmly amplified by the mounted pair of double-coil Burstbucker pickups that shape that thick, robust and deliciously rough-edged humbucker tone, all fully backed up by the time-approved set of pots complete with Orange Drop capacitors and a 3-way switch.
