General

A tasty, throwback treat of a guitar on every level, the Gibson Original Collection Les Paul Standard ‘60s six-string features a stunning AA flame maple top and comes dipped in a fresh Translucent Cherry paint job. Beyond the Gibson-grade looks, this single-cut model more than brings the sonic goods, where the solid mahogany body has been loaded with a two-piece set of Gibson Burstbucker 61 pickups. Each humbucker boasts an Alnico V magnet core that guarantees powerful and flexible, full-range sound. The Gibson Original Collection Les Paul Standard ‘60s comes complete with a form-fitting hardshell case.

The Gibson Les Paul Standard ‘60s: Authentic Playability

Since the old score is usually the best, the mahogany neck of this Gibson LP has been given a Slim Taper profile, which couples with a rosewood fretboard with a 12 inch radius and a set of twenty-two medium jumbo frets to complete light and nimble, authentic playability all the way up the neck. Modern tweaks come in the form of a set of Grover Rotomatic machine heads finished with Kidney tuning buttons and a Graph Tech nut, polishing off progressive tuning stability, while the Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge lays down some outstanding resonance and extra-long sustain.
