The first thing that draws your attention is the handle cut out of the body. With this Monkey Grip handle you can firmly hold your guitar when you want to walk around with it or take it off. Moving on to the body, it’s made of American basswood to provide a warm sound with great mids. The Ibanez JEM77P also features a five-piece Wizard neck made of maple and walnut, fitted with a maple fretboard with a beautiful Tree Of Life inlay. Because the 24 frets have had Premium fret edge treatment, you can slide your fingers quickly and smoothly along the neck.

DiMarzio Evolution: The Sound of Vai

The DiMarzio Evolution pickup was made exclusively for Vai and is in part responsible for the excellent sound of the JEM77P Blue Floral Pattern guitar. Vai wanted screaming killer pickups when the volume was fully open and a crystal clear and clean sound when the volume was turned down. His wish was DiMarzio's command. In addition to this Evolution pickup, you can also find DiMarzio Gravity Storm humbuckers at the neck and the bridge position. As a result you get a truly killer sound!
