The Ibanez KIKO100-TRR is the Kiko Loureiro signature-model. Kiko is a Brazilian heavy metal guitarist, known from the band Angra. He has a wide range of impressive technical skills, from sweep picking to two-handed tapping. With the KIKO100-TRR, you have the perfect metal machine to play just like Kiko.
KIKO100: made in Japan
When you find out that this solid-body was entirely made in Japan, you'll immediately know that it's an absolute high-quality instrument. The body is made of solid alder wood, complemented with a flamed maple top and a Transparent Ruby Red finish. The five-piece KIKO neck is made of maple and walnut, and received the laborious Prestige fret treatment. This results in an ultra-smooth performance thanks to the slender neck without any sharp fret edges. With a radius of 430 millimetres, the rosewood fretboard (with 24 jumbo frets) is very flat.
Edge-bridge and DiMarzio KIKO
Ibanez fans will be delighted when they see the tremolo bridge as it is a real Edge, the model that Steve Vai and Joe Satriani couldn't do without. It has an unsurpassed tuning stability and a very solid construction. DiMarzio developed the HSH trio specially for KIKO, and mounted the three pickups to the KIKO100-TRR. They provide amazing dynamics and power to cut through the mix. The volume knob has a push-pull coil tap so that you can also play with a single coil in combination with the humbuckers. The 5-way switch and tone control allow you to choose the right 'gear' for all your musical escapades. The KIKO100-TRR is a real treat for the eyes and ears, even if you've never heard of Kiko Loureiro.
