General
While the model name isn't exactly catchy, the RG6PPBFX-TSR Premium Series Ibanez is crafted to command attention; from the complex texture of the finish, all the way up to the tight and highly defined modern sound. The solid linden body is topped with a 7mm thick slice of intricate poplar burl and coated in a subtle Tropical Seafloor tinted lacquer. The two Bare Knuckle Aftermath pickups have outstanding bass response and highly focused mids and, with the addition of the coil-tap, are incredibly versatile and able to handle the heavy work as well as deep, drop-tunings.
The RG6PPBFX: A Sharp Eye for Detail
Besides a charming look and adaptable sound, the playability has by no means been left behind. The dark ebony fretboard is loaded with 24 Jescar frets with treated, rounded edges while the 11-piece neck is remarkably stable and finished in a fast-feeling satin-gloss for the highest playing comfort. The Gotoh-built MG-T locking tuners and fixed Mono-Rail bridge not only support excellent sustain but immaculate intonation and tuning stability, while subtle touches of detail like the luminescent side dots warrant the premium stamp this guitar has been given.
