Fans of Ibanez' RG series solid-body guitars have been requesting a 7-string baritone model and Ibanez has responded by introducing the RG2027XL. Its 24 jumbo frets have undergone the Prestige fret-edge treatment. Thanks to the 27-inch scale length, the strings have a tighter tension than normal for playing tight riffs and razor-sharp solos. This top-quality, modern electric guitar also has an extremely stable neck that's made of 5 pieces of maple and wenge with an eye-catching fretboard made of macassar ebony that has subtle offset dot position markers.

RG2027XL: loud, bright and subtle

The neck is bolted onto an RG body made of basswood. This is not only robust, but it helps to keep the weight down as well as producing a full sound with prominent mids. There are two Fusion Edge 7 humbuckers by DiMarzio on board that deliver a loud, bright sound to your amplifier. This Prestige guitar is equipped with a Lo-Pro Edge 7 tremolo bridge with a locking string nut to ensure excellent tuning stability even in the face of extreme divebombs. A hardshell case is included too so that you transport and store the guitar safely.
