It might be a bit simplistic to label this guitar as 'Metal Only' but this Ibanez RGIR20E Iron Label is, in fact, a perfect solid-body for guitarists that play metal. This black shredding machine is robust and has a basic construction that completely focuses on maximum playing speed and a powerful output. The 3-part Nitro Wizard neck, made of maple and bubinga wood, is slender and has a rosewood fretboard with 24 jumbo frets. This fretboard is the centre of all your metal playing techniques.
Ibanez RGIR20E Iron Label: intense and versatile
This guitar is equipped with two EMG pickups that perfectly convert your intense playing into an output signal. The EMG 81 is the ultimate bridge pickup with incredible cutting force for solo parts and has great sustain. The sound of this guitar is detailed and very intense and the EMG 60 even enhances the sound versatility of the RGIR20E. Rich in tone, harmonics and with a wide frequency boost. This pickup combination makes the RGIR20E ready to do a solo but also makes it perfect for playing chords. The kill switch on the guitar adds a stroboscopic effect.

Two New Metal Machines from Ibanez
Wednesday 23 September 2015Ibanez has added two guitars to its Iron Label RG series: the RG and the RG-7. These are real metal machines but with a spalted maple top and headstock. Apart from that, they have the standard Iron Label RG features, with two EMG humbuckers, 24 jumbo frets and a neck made of maple and bubinga.
