General

Guitars made in Asia may have gotten better and better in recent years, but for many musicians nothing beats an instrument from the United States. Due to inflation in recent years, genuine American guitars have become considerably more expensive, but fortunately Jackson brings an excellent solution in the form of this American Series Virtuoso. Indeed, this electric guitar is made in Corona, California, at a price that is still manageable for professional musicians. Nice bonus is that it comes with a foam core case.

American Series Virtuoso: The successor to the Dinky

The Virtuoso is the successor to the Dinky. A few decades ago, the Dinky had a smaller body than the Soloist, hence the name. However, in recent years the size of the body has been identical. The only difference between the two models is that the Dinky has bolt-on construction and the Soloist neck-through. Therefore, Jackson Guitars is saying goodbye to the Dinky and that role will be replaced by the Virtuoso. The alder solid body is thus attached to the 5-piece caramelised maple neck with a bolt-on construction.

High-quality specifications

The alder body is loaded with the familiar set of Seymour Duncan JB/'59 humbuckers and a 5-way element switch for extra lots of tone options. A striped ebony fingerboard with compound radius and 24 jumbo frets has been chosen for high playing comfort. Thanks to the Floyd Rose 1500 Series Double-Locking Tremolo and Gotoh locking tuners, you can count on stable tuning. So you can add vibrato effects to your heart's content without the guitar quickly detuning.
