General

The Jackson Pro Rhoads RRTMG is a serious metal guitar with a design as tight as its sound. Thanks to the mahogany body, the maple neck and the neck-though construction, a rich sound and easy access to the high frets is assured. As you'd expect from Jackson, the RRTMG has a compound radius and an ebony fretboard. The T in the model's name refers to the compensated tune-o-matic bridge that offers a comfortable surface for your right hand and excellent intonation. A beautiful Blue Burst lacquer gives this instrument a lovely look.

Pro Rhoads RRTMG: active EMG humbuckers

EMG's active pickups are very well known in the world of metal music. They produce very little noise and deliver an extremely bright sound perfect for shredding. In the bridge position is the well-known EMG 81, but the EMG 89 in the neck position is a rarer specimen. With the push/pull volume knob, this pickup can function as either a humbucker or a single-coil. In humbucker mode it delivers a rich sound reminiscent of the EMG 85. As a single-coil pickup you get a sparkling sound much like that from the EMG SA.

Pro Series: top-quality instruments.

Jackson Guitars originated in 1980, when talented young guitarist Randy Rhoads approached Wayne Charvel - then the owner of Charvel's Guitar Repair shop - with an idea for an innovative V model. In collaboration with Tim Wilson and Mike Shannon, the Concorde was created. This guitar was so different from the other instruments Charvel was issuing at the time, that guitar builder Grover Jackson decided to introduce them under his own name. Thanks to their stylish designs, fast necks and powerful sound, Jackson guitars are perfect for hard rock and metal. The Pro Series follows many of the specifications of the top models from Jackson's USA series but at a more affordable price.

NAMM 2016: Jackson Spoils Shredders and Metal Heads

Thursday 21 January 2016

During the NAMM show in Anaheim, California, it's not uncommon for guitar manufacturers to introduce new models and finishes. This year, Jackson has released an entire new series under the name Monarkh. The Monarkh guitars were inspired by the famous Les Paul, but offer true shredders and metal heads even more options. Tradition meets modern standards!
