General
The Schecter Banshee Mach-7 is a high-quality 7-string electric guitar from the Banshee Mach series. The body is made from Swamp Ash and features a Flamed Maple top, finished in the striking Fallout Burst colour scheme. The one-piece neck is constructed from multiple layers of roasted maple and purpleheart and features an Ultra Access neck-to-body joint. This ensures excellent access to the higher frets, right up to the 24th fret. The ebony fretboard and the Ultra Thin U-neck profile ensure a fast and comfortable playing experience, whilst the 26.5-inch scale length is well-suited to the tight string tension you’d expect from a 7-string guitar.
Lundgren M7 pickups
In terms of tone, the Banshee Mach-7 features two Lundgren M7 humbuckers, in both the bridge and neck positions. These passive pickups are designed to deliver a powerful, defined sound with sufficient clarity for complex passages and heavy riffs. The guitar comes fitted with Ernie Ball 7-string strings in .009/.011/.016/.026/.036/.046/.062. The combination of the longer scale length, the 7-string configuration and the Lundgren pickups makes the Banshee Mach-7 particularly well-suited to modern metal and other musical styles where a tight low end and plenty of dynamics are required. The Black Chrome hardware complements the instrument’s dark, aggressive look perfectly.
Hipshot bridge and playing comfort
The Banshee Mach-7 is fitted with a Hipshot Ibby HM Guitar Bridge and Schecter Locking tuners. The bridge provides a stable base for the seven strings, whilst the locking tuners help ensure reliable tuning. The 12–16-inch compound-radius fretboard transitions from a more rounded to a flatter radius towards the higher frets, making both chord playing and soloing feel comfortable. The 24 X-Jumbo frets are made of stainless steel and offer a durable, smooth playing surface. According to the product specification, the matching SCSGR-1C case is available separately and is therefore not included. The guitar itself is a complete instrument.
