General

The Schecter Damien Platinum-7 is a powerful 7-string electric guitar from the distinctive Damien Platinum series. The Satin Black finish is combined with Satin Chrome hardware, silver/platinum multi-layer binding and striking Platinum Bats inlays. The mahogany body features a arched top and is joined to a three-piece maple neck via a glued-in construction with Ultra Access. The 26.5-inch scale length provides the extra string with sufficient tension, making this guitar particularly well-suited to low tunings. The Thin C neck profile and the 24 X-Jumbo frets ensure a comfortable playing experience.

Active EMG pickups

For a powerful and defined tone, the Damien Platinum-7 is fitted with two active EMG pickups. An EMG 81-7 is positioned at the bridge and an EMG 85-7 at the neck. The EMG 81-7 delivers a tight, aggressive tone that pairs well with high-gain amplifiers, whilst the EMG 85-7 in the neck position provides a fuller and warmer sound. With the volume and tone controls and the 3-way switch, you can easily switch between the different tones. The active electronics are powered by a 9V battery via the built-in clip-in battery compartment.

Tune-O-Matic with String-Thru-Body

The Damien Platinum-7 features a Tune-O-Matic bridge with String Thru Body. This fixed bridge construction provides a stable foundation whilst playing and ensures direct string response. The Grover tuners allow for precise tuning, whilst the 48 mm wide nut provides ample space for the seven strings. The guitar is fitted with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 7 #2621 strings (.010-.056). A matching case is not included, but the Schecter SCSGR-1C is listed as a separately available case. With its 7-string configuration, active EMG pickups and longer scale length, this Damien Platinum-7 is ideally suited to modern rock and metal.
