General

The Schecter Damien Platinum-9 is an impressive 9-string electric guitar for guitarists who want to go beyond the traditional capabilities of an electric guitar. The Satin Black finish, satin chrome hardware and distinctive Platinum Bats inlays give the instrument a striking appearance. The mahogany body and glued maple neck with Ultra Access construction form a solid foundation for a powerful and resonant tone. Thanks to the 30-inch scale length, the extra-low string tension is easy to manage, whilst the 24 X-Jumbo frets provide ample space for technical and expressive playing.

Active EMG 909 pickups

For amplification, the Damien Platinum-9 features two active EMG 909 humbuckers: one in the bridge position and one at the neck. This combination delivers a powerful, defined tone that really comes into its own with heavy riffs and modern metal. The controls consist of volume, tone and a 3-way pick-up selector switch, allowing you to switch quickly between different tone characters. The active electronics are powered by a 9V battery. The Hipshot Hardtail bridge with String-Thru-Body construction also contributes to direct string transmission, stable tuning and a firm attack.

Designed for extended-range guitarists

With nine strings and a 30-inch scale length, this Damien Platinum-9 is designed for players seeking an exceptionally wide tonal range. The 63.3 mm-wide nut provides ample space for the extra strings, whilst the Thin C neck profile offers a comfortable grip. The rosewood fingerboard has a 20-inch (508 mm) radius, which suits modern playing techniques well. Grover tuners ensure reliable tuning stability. The guitar comes with Ernie Ball Custom 9-String 30" Scale strings in the specified gauges. A matching case is not included.
