Schecter shows us a guitar with class in it. The shape of the Omen Elite-6 FR. The 'FR' designation stands for Floyd Rose and the specifications compared to the 'regular' Omen Elite-6 are otherwise the same. This means you get a mahogany wood body with a beautiful 'arched' top. Mahogany stands for warmth and a rich timbre. This is further deepened by means of the 5-position switch that lets you configure the two passive Schecter Diamond Heretic pickups. Whether you want the 'full humbucker experience' or a 'single-coil' sound, the Schecter Omen Elite offers it all. The maple neck features a rosewood fingerboard on which 24 X-Jumbo frets adorn. So-called 'pearloid lines' have been used as position markers, giving the guitar a unique characteristic.

Comfortable, modern playability

The thin 'C' profile of the neck is especially meant for the modern guitarist and the neck therefore feels 'fast' and easy to play. This is also reflected in the fingerboard radius; it is 14 inches, making it flatter than most traditional guitars that often sit somewhere between 7.5 and 9 inches. The flatter fingerboard makes it easier to press the strings and again contributes to a 'faster' feel - especially when playing solos. Of course, the scale length of this Omen Elite-6 is the same as any super-ST, i.e. 25.5 inches. If you are band that the guitar gets out of tune when you engage the Floyd Rose tremolo then we can reassure you; this system is very stable. Even the deepest dives leave the tuning untouched!
