Schecter Omen Elite-6 Black Cherry Burst Electric Guitar

General

With the Omen Elite-6, the mighty Schecter releases yet another beautiful guitar aimed at the modern guitarist. This time it features a mahogany body with a beautiful arch top and a burl top. Needless to say, it is more than a pretty picture and the guitar sounds like a bell. It features two Schecter Diamond Heretic humbucker pickups that sound both tight and defined. In terms of tone control, there is no reason to complain either; for instance, the Omen Elite-6 is equipped with a 5-way pickup switch that also allows you to create beautiful single-coil sounds. The neck consists of maple and features a rosewood fingerboard. It features unique position markings in the form of 'pearloid' lines.

Modern playability

The fretboard radius is 14 inches, which is fairly flat, but not too flat. This allows you to push up your strings just fine while still retaining somewhat the 'feel' of a traditional neck. Also, the thin 'C' profile of the guitar-neck feels very comfortable and modern which only increases the degree of playability. The scale length of the Omen Elite-6 is 25.5 inches, which is obviously the standard size of a super ST model. In terms of sustain, the Omen Elite is fine too; for instance, it features a Schecter Custom hardtail bridge with the strings running through the body. Besides a good sustain, this also gives a very direct 'wood' sound. Finally, the guitar is equipped with a 2-way truss rod system to compensate for temperature changes.
