General

The Ernie Ball Music Man JP7 is heard on many of Dream Theater's most iconic songs. This model, the Sterling by Music Man JP70 is a more attractively-priced version of that 7-string electric guitar. For a fast and comfortable playing experience, it has a lightweight basswood body with an ergonomic forearm scoop. It also comes complete with a deluxe gig bag.

JP70: other features

The JP70 has a relatively wide string nut that measures 1.95 inches. This means there's more space between the strings which makes it easier to play vibratos and complex chords. In combination with the 16-inch fretboard radius, solos are easy to play too. Rhythm guitarists are also sure to appreciate the tight sound offered by the low B string.
