The full sized maple body of this electric violin has been coated in a sleek black which, coupled with the built-in preamp, volume, and two-band EQ controls, packs masses of stage presence. Plug the pair of included headphones directly into the Stagg EVN 4/4 MBL and rehearse deep into the night without bothering anyone or connect it to a mixer or amplifier for lush and massive sound.

While this is a silent violin when unplugged, when plugged into an amplifier, the sound of the solid maple body has plenty of presence and presents the opportunity to start playing with effect pedals, while the body has been shaped in such a way that, while unique, it has the same playing feel and comfort as a standard acoustic model. For a complete pack, Stagg have generously included a deluxe soft case, a bow, rosin, a set of stereo headphones and a 9V battery.

Wrote the following about Stagg EVN 4/4 BK Electric Violin (Black)

Ik vind hem geweldig! Natuurlijk is hij voor deze prijs niet een hele hoge kwaliteit, dus niet geschikt voor optredens. Ik gebruik hem om rocknummers te spelen (wat extra gaaf klinkt met deze viool) en om te oefenen zonder mijn huisgenoten te storen.

Voor rocknummers gebruik ik er een versterker bij die ik er apart bij heb gekocht. Om zacht te kunnen spelen gebruik ik de koptelefoon die erbij zit. Hij maakt dan nog steeds geluid maar als ik boven speel horen ze er beneden helemaal niks van.

De afwerking is niet helemaal netjes, wat begrijpelijk is voor de prijs. Persoonlijk heb ik liever dat ze daarop bezuinigen dan op de geluidskwaliteit, dus voor mij geen probleem.

Prima instrument voor als je met minder geluid wilt oefenen of gewoon eens toe bent aan een ander soort vioolgeluid. Alles wat je kan verwachten voor deze prijs, maar ga er geen grote optredens mee geven.

Naast razendsnelle levering (dezelfde dag nog) tevreden over deze viool.
Voor deze prijs natuurlijk geen topinstrument.
De viool wordt heel compleet geleverd, zodat je direct kunt beginnen.
Aparte versterker is niet nodig en het is prettig dat er ook een ingang voor MP3 opzit.
Meespelen is daardoor makkelijk en kan voor de omgeving in stilte.
De viool is wel zwaar en de snaren zul je direct moeten vervangen. Die zijn van zeer matige kwaliteit.
Voor 175 euro dus eenpeuk instrument als je in stilte wilt oefenen.
Voor optredens lijkt het me kwalitatief niet goed genoeg.
