General

The full sized maple body of this electric violin has been coated in a sleek metallic blue which, coupled with the built-in preamp, volume, and two-band EQ controls, packs masses of stage presence. Plug the pair of included headphones directly into the Stagg EVN 4/4 MBL and rehearse deep into the night without bothering anyone or connect it to a mixer or amplifier for lush and massive sound. While this is a silent violin when unplugged, when amplified, the sound of the solid maple body has plenty of presence and has been shaped in such a way that, while unique, it has the same playing feel and comfort as a standard acoustic model. For a complete pack, Stagg have generously included a deluxe soft case, a bow, rosin, a set of stereo headphones and a 9V battery.

Wrote the following about Stagg EVN 4/4 MBL Electric Violin with Gig Bag (Metallic Blue)

Na eerst twee andere violen te hebben ontvangen (andere winkel, ander merk) met een vreemde frequentie over de koptelefoon/box was ik heel gelukkig met deze keuze. Er is geen frequentie te horen en zelfs geen ruis. Het geluid is erg mooi over de koptelefoon.

Ik kan op vreemde tijden oefenen, hier thuis horen ze wel wat, maar niet storend en de buren horen niets. Dat was precies de reden om een elektrische viool te kopen. Na bijna 30 jaar moet ik even inkomen :-)

De kleur is heel mooi, mooier dan op de foto vind ik. De vormgeving maakt hem stoer. In andere reviews las ik dat de S-vorm listig is met stemmen omdat hij meer zou werken. Daar heb ik geen last van gehad. Hij stemt prima, net als mij akoestische viool. Hij speelt ook nagenoeg hetzelfde.

Sommigen vinden hem zwaar. Ik heb daar geen last van, kan hem met gemak enkel met mijn kin klemmen (ik heb mijn eigen schoudersteun erop gezet die gewoon past).

Ik ben blij met deze viool!

Wrote the following about Stagg EVN 4/4 MBL Electric Violin with Gig Bag (Metallic Blue)

I ordered this violin a week ago. I had doubts about ordering an instrument online. It came with a huge box and protections. I actually thought did i order a cello or something :)
Soft case is really close to a hard case. It actually shocked me. I was expecting cheap plastic/nylon combination but this one is so nice.
Violin has a cool metallic blue colour. Its looking better when you have it. Although i waste some time on tuning; pegs and fine tuners are working fine.Sound of violin is also nice. I'm not use to play electric violins but it helps if your neighbours don`t like to listen music at 2 am Bow has nice curve. It really met my expectations for this price.
