General

The TZSM/2 is a hand-crafted, all-solid electro-acoustic classical guitar featuring a Canadian spruce top and a splendid mahogany body. This sumptuous guitar from Ortega's Signature Series is built in accordance with the demands, wishes and playing style of Dutch guitar virtuoso, Thomas Zwijsen, who's known for his classical renditions of popular rock songs. For a highly stable neck joint, Ortega have mounted the mahogany neck of the TZSM/2 on the body via the Spanish Heel principle while, for enhanced aesthetics, the top comes with a glossy finish complemented by a walnut/maple mother-of-pearl sound hole rosette. Maple bindings and stylish Ortega Gold Plated tuners make for the icing on this tastefully designed instrument.

Quality and Comfort

This guitar not only packs the looks of a premium-grade instrument but the sound expected of a model played by a genuine master guitarist like Thomas Zwijsen. This Ortega TZSM/2 shapes a warm, rich sound and effortlessly strikes a perfect balance between a traditional classical guitar and a modern concert instrument. Along with the narrow neck and cutaway, the curved fretboard ensures superb playing comfort while the built-in Fishman Clasica Blend System faithfully amplifies the acoustic sound in all of its glory. In addition to a volume and a 3-band tone control, there's an on-board tuner, a phase knob and notch filter to block out any unwanted feedback, and a mic blend pot to dial in the perfect tone. The TZSM/2 even comes with both a jack and an XLR output and, since a high-end guitar such as this one deserves to travel in style, also includes a deluxe soft case finished with an embroidered Thomas Zwijsen logo.
