General

The Ortega RMA200PF from the Americana Series is an A-style mandolin with a solid, curved maple top and solid mahogany sides and back. This results in a warm, balanced sound with clear projection. The neck and fingerboard are also made of maple. Ortega has opted for a striking transparent purple-fade finish, which lets the wood grains shine through nicely in combination with the flamed maple. Add the matching headstock and striking gold-finished hardware, and the result is a stylish, modern-looking instrument with Ortega's well-known premium build and playing quality. The 8-string tuning (G-G-D-D-A-A-E-E) and F-holes deliver the classic mandolin sound for blues, bluegrass and folk. And for travelling, you get a matching croco leather case, with violet velvet lining, to go with it. In short: the Ortega Americana Series RMA200PF is a versatile mandolin that combines authentic craftsmanship with a distinct look!
