General

The Takamine Pro Series TC135SC is a modern top-shelf classical guitar that manages to impressively stretch the generally-accepted limitations of this traditional instrument a little further. Sublimely crafted using first-rate parts, this electro-acoustic model honour the Japanese brand's rich history. A solid spruce top, solid rosewood back and rosewood sides have been combined with a mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard for an intensely expressive, full and warm sound fit for any style. The fretboard is lined with no less than 24 frets for an expanded higher register, and all frets can be easily reached thanks to a cutaway in the body. Meanwhile, unrestricted playability is offered by a beautifully finished, comfortable and light-feeling neck.

CoolTube Preamp

Built on Takamine's never-ending desire to innovate, the TC135SC also sounds awe-inspiringly good when amplified. The built-in CoolTube preamp is based on a low-voltage 12AU7 tube that doesn't run too hot, resulting in a unique and warm tube sound you won't find in any other electro-acoustic classical guitar. Naturally, the sound can be customised using the remarkably extensive tone controls section and, to shape an even more flexible sound, an additional pickup can be installed as needed, which can then be mixed into the signal using the auxiliary volume and gain controls. All in all, the Takamine TC135SC is an inspiring instrument that dares you to be creative.
