General

Yamaha's NCX1200R is an electro-acoustic classical guitar with a solid-wood construction and Yamaha's excellent System61, 2-way A.R.T. pickup system. The pickup system consists of a preamp and two contact pickups. Adjust the amplified sound and choose to hear a single source or a mix of both at the same time for complete control.

Yamaha NCX1200R: Exotic materials

The amplified sound is also dependent upon the guitar's acoustic sound, of course. In that regard, Yamaha has constructed the NCX1200R using solid sitka spruce for the top and solid rosewood for the back and sides. Together, the wood types produce a sound that is bright and warm. The mahogany neck and ebony fretboard tighten up the sound and add some extra oomph. A case is included with this top-quality guitar so that you can transport it safely to and from rehearsals and performances.
