General

The All-Solid Yamaha NCX3 has the neck and body of a regular classical guitar but the looks and acoustic sound that firmly plant it in the 21st century. This contemporary design encompasses a solid Sitka spruce top and solid walnut sides and back for a guitar sound with a rich character and clearly-defined basses and trebles.

The NCX3: Authentically Amplified Acoustic Sound

To send as natural a signal to your DI or amplifier as possible, this nylon-string guitar is equipped with Yamaha's Atmosfeel preamp system while, to maintain full authentic acoustic tone, there's a piezo pickup for the mids and an integrated microphone that captures the highs and lows. Using the Bass EQ knob, the latter can be easily emphasized or toned down and for the perfect mix, there's the ever-useful Blend knob.
