General

The Guild M-20E Natural is a handmade western guitar from the US, built entirely of solid African mahogany. Thanks to its compact concert size, smaller and shallower than a standard dreadnought, it fits comfortably in the hand and is perfect for fingerstyle, singer-songwriters and folk. The sound is tight and focused, with extra emphasis on the treble. In addition, the forward, 'sculpted' Sitka spruce bracing provides more definition and a quick response. The matte nitro-satin finish keeps things subtle and lets the character of the wood shine through nicely, without adding too much shine. A cover or case is common in this price segment, but the included hardshell case from Guild has a special moisturising system so you can always transport your guitar safely and in the right conditions!

L.R. Baggs Element VTC for stage and studio

What makes this M-20E different from the normal version is the built-in L.R. Baggs Element and pickup. Instead of just recording pressure under the saddle, this system picks up the vibrations of the top surface and you hear it right away. No thin, sharp pickup signal, but a warm, natural sound that remains close to the acoustic sound character when amplified. Striking is the positioning of the volume and tone controls, which are neatly hidden under the edge of the sound hole. The built-in preamp gives you that professional western sound and is even equipped with a subtle low-end compressor that keeps feedback and excess bass in check. The premium Guild M-20E is a compact, honest guitar that is completely at home both in the living room and on stage!
