The Guild D-240E FM is an electro-acoustic dreadnought guitar from the Westerly Collection. The back and sides of the body are made of flamed mahogany and are topped with solid Sitka spruce for a rich sound and an excellent dynamic response that, thanks to the Guild AP-1 Active Piezo preamplifier is amplified in full as soon as the guitar is plugged into an acoustic amplifier.

Wrote the following about Guild Westerly Collection D-240E FM Flamed Mahogany Electro-Acoustic Guitar
The quality is very good for the price point. The sound projection is good with the arched back. The factory setup is excellent. I took a few measurments and found everything spot on. I will be rounding off the fret ends. They are not bad, but a bit rough for me. The beautiful flamed mahogany back and sides, is well worth the moderate extra cost.
Until these new strings settle,the sound is a bit tinny. The 12/53 strings fitted are ideal for this guitar. I would not recommend fitting anything lighter. I will fit a bit later some D'Addario XT Coated 80/20 Bronze strings which I prefer to the Phospher Bronze EXP16 fitted. Bronze strings,in my opinion,have the best tone. The Fishman Sonitone is great, but an added tuner facility would have been even better. Overall an excellent Guild acoustic.
