General

Buckle up, because with the AEG-1 Acoustic Electric Guitar, L.R. Baggs shakes up the electro-acoustic guitar market like never seen before. This highly advanced guitar is the result of years of research into the physics behind acoustic instruments, combined with revolutionary developments in the field of pickups and guitar electronics. It's clear that Lloyd Baggs' expertise as a luthier and as a pickup designer has helped him polish off an electro-acoustic guitar where the wood and the electronics work together in perfect harmony.

The AEG-1: An Innovative Build

The AEG-1 features a patented neck support system where the neck is no longer supported by the back and soundboard of the guitar. This unique construction gave L.R. Baggs the freedom to fully optimise the resonance chamber, which has resulted in a satisfyingly slim build that shapes surprisingly rich sound. The increased structural integrity forces more string energy towards the top of the guitar, expanding the dynamic range while deepening the sound and boosting the tuning stability.

HiFi Pickups and a Studio-Quality Silo Microphone

The electronics encompass a completely discrete, studio-grade preamp with a multi-pole crossover system that teams up the HiFi pickups and Silo microphone to guarantee spot-on sound in any position. This versatile system can go from direct and natural sound to open, airy sound and everything in between, so expect the same sonic warmth, tonal clarity and noise-free sound as other LR Baggs electronics. The side-mounted controls include a volume knob, a pickup/mic mix control, a tone control, phase-reverse, and a battery life indicator.

Bax Music Warranty This product comes with a 3-year warranty.
