General

The Cort GOLD EDGE Natural Gloss is a Grand Auditorium-style electro-acoustic acoustic-electric guitar, built with a clear focus on playing comfort and tone quality. The top, made from solid torrefied Sitka spruce, has been artificially aged, giving the guitar that open, warm tone you would normally only find in old vintage instruments. The back and sides of the GOLD EDGE are made from solid flamed myrtlewood, which adds extra body to the low and mid-range frequencies and also boosts the sound projection. Combined with the hand-carved X-bracing pattern, the guitar sounds balanced and full-bodied, just as you’d expect from a premium instrument like this!

Playing comfort with a triple bevel cut

What really sets this guitar apart is the triple bevel cut: an armrest, rib rest and cutaway in a single design, ensuring it rests comfortably against your body during long playing sessions. The mahogany neck, reinforced with walnut, feels superb in the hand thanks to the Comfort C neck profile. And the ebony fingerboard features hand-rounded fret edges for extra comfort. To allow you to enjoy its rich tone even when amplified, the EDGE is fitted with the L.R. Baggs Anthem pickup system, which combines a small microphone with a piezo element to deliver a studio-quality acoustic tone through your amplifier or PA. Supplied with a sturdy hard-shell case, ensuring the guitar remains well protected whilst on the move. The Cort GOLD EDGE combines sound, comfort and finish to a high standard!
