General

The Martin D-41 Special 2004 is a western guitar from the first production year of this rare model. With its characteristic sound, it owes much to the forward shifted and scalloped bracing, and the rich D-42 snowflake inlays give it a luxurious look. The guitar has a solid rosewood side and back, which you can hear and see in its deep, mature sound. The comfortable neck, similar to that of a 000-28EC but a bit slimmer, ensures pleasant playing comfort. Thanks to 12-53 Curt Mangan strings and the James May Engineering Ultratonic pickup, this D-41 Special sounds excellent both acoustically and amplified. The included used case protects the instrument, despite some missing latches.
