The Lowden F20 Mahogany & Sitka Spruce is a characterful acoustic guitar with a compact size, immediate response and warm sound. The F-body (grand auditorium) offers an excellent balance between playing comfort and projection, making this guitar effortlessly suitable for both fingerstyle and dynamic strum work. The ergonomic size feels compact and familiar, while the sound remains open and spacious, with impressive definition across the full frequency spectrum. Both the top (spruce) and the rest of the body (mahogany) are solid wood, a conscious choice that sets Lowden apart from many other brands.

Hand-built and ready to play

The spruce top combined with mahogany for the sides and back results in a clear, focused sound with a fast attack, a warm midrange and a controlled bass. These woods make the F20 particularly expressive and sensitive to nuance, ideal for guitarists who work a lot with dynamics and articulation. Like all Lowden guitars, this instrument was hand-built in Northern Ireland by experienced luthiers, a guarantee of an impressively high level of finish, excellent resonance and a ready-to-play setup. The Gotoh SG381 tuning machines, together with the fitted Elixir Phosphor Bronze strings (12-53), ensure stable tuning. This guitar comes in a sturdy case to keep it optimally protected even during transport.
