Yamaha LL16D ARE Natural electro-acoustic western guitar

The LL16D ARE is the extra-luxurious version of the LL16, featuring beautiful abalone inlays on the fretboard and bindings on the body, along with an abalone soundhole rosette. The LL16D offers luxury not only with looks, but with an outstanding sound as well. The great sound of this guitar is thanks to the quality wood types that were used to construct the jumbo body. The top, for example, is fashioned from the relatively rare Engelmann spruce, which, compared to the more common sitka spruce, offers a tighter sound with a broader dynamic range. Moreover, Engelmann spruce is quite lightweight and features beautiful wood grain. Finally, Rosewood sides and back reinforce the tight sound quality and add sweet highs.

Yamaha LL16D ARE: neck and pickup system

Not only does this instrument sound great, but it's comfortable to play as well. The neck features a traditional profile, but has been improved to have optimal string action and distance, and is slightly tapered. Ebony was used for the fretboard to provide a snappy response, and because the wood grain is finer than that of rosewood, string bending is easier than usual. If you want to record or play live, it's easy as pie to connect the LL16D to an amplifier. The subtle SRT Zero Impact pickup system guarantees realistic, dynamic sound reproduction of your playing without weighing the guitar down with added hardware. Acoustic Resonance Enhancement

Yamaha added a big dose of technology to the development of the LL16D. By way of Acoustic Resonance Enhancement, a new piece of Engelmann spruce was enhanced to take on the superior sound characteristics of vintage wood. The ARE process involves mixing up a precise cocktail of temperature, air pressure and moisture in order to change the molecular makeup of the wood. This means that the LL16 ARE comes out of the box with the full, rich tone of a vintage guitar, that you'd typically have to wait for years to develop. This outstanding Yamaha has a great, excellent playability, and comes with a soft case.
