General

The mid-depth, non-cutaway body shape of the Pro Series Ovation Ultra 1516 electro-acoustic guitar brings the ultimate in professional, stage-ready playing comfort. This slimline guitar sits close to the body, giving it an immediately snug feel while the Lyrachord bowl-style back is fully contoured in all the right places and has been combined with a solid grade-A spruce soundboard that's been thermally treated to ensure a fully matured, played in sound that's filled out with the warmth of the two-piece khaya neck.

The Ovation Pro Series Ultra 1516: Natural Amplified Sound

The combo of materials that have gone into the build of this guitar lay down a rich acoustic foundation that's packed with definition, making sure that every note and chord is given maximum presence. A super-thin and environmentally friendly anti-UV layer has also been applied to ensure that the sound remains rich for decades to come. The built-in OCP-2000 pickup, meanwhile, is a fully upgraded piezo that captures string vibration with high efficiency before passing it onto the integrated preamp, ensuring that the sound of each of the six strings is separated and amplified with crystal clarity. Since the Pro Series Ultra 1516 has been built for the stage, it comes pre-packed in a form-fitting soft case.
