Make the most of your guitar technique with the Yamaha FGC-TA TransAcoustic. This dreadnought-shaped electro-acoustic guitar has been fully decked out with technical features and offers way more than you might expect. Unlike the FG model, the FGC-TA has a cutaway to provide even better access to all of the frets, and then there's Yamaha's revolutionary TransAcoustic technology: a string-vibration-driven system that allows you to use chorus and reverb effects without the need for any external gear - in other words, unplugged!

The Yamaha FGC-TA: The Details Decide

Using the built-in effects of the FGC-TA in combination with an amp is no problem thanks to the AA-battery-powered System 70 preamp. The battery compartment has been neatly hidden below the lower strap button, which is the same place where you'll find the audio output of the SRT Piezo pickup. Also, Yamaha have opted for a solid spruce soundboard, a mahogany body and a nato neck finished with a rosewood fretboard to ensure a rich foundation sound that's tweakable via three side-fitted volume and effects controls.

Wrote the following about Yamaha FGC-TA Vintage Tint TransAcoustic Guitar

Mooi afgewerkte gitaar met binding op de body en hals. De mat afgewerkte hals speelt inderdaad lekker. (Een compleet mat afgewerkte gitaar zou ook niet misstaan.) Het geluid is al erg mooi zonder de reverb of chorus effecten, erg helder en voldoende volume. Met de effecten aan wordt het geluid nog driedimensionaler en luider wat erg inspirerend werkt. Normaal speel ik elektrische gitaar, en de hals geometrie en string spacing op deze gitaar maken het heel makkelijk om te switchen. De enige tegenvaller was het zadel, deze lijkt mij veel te smal en leunt daardoor naar voren, ook mag hij wel een stuk lager, vandaar 4 sterren.
