An unamplified acoustic guitar's sound relies heavily on the acoustics of the room it is being played in and unfortunately, most rooms don't have great acoustics. That's precisely where Yamaha's (r)evolutionary TransAcoustic system comes into play. The LS-TA features a special preamp that sends the signal back into the body of the guitar giving you a wonderful acoustic sound with reverb and chorus effects without the use of an amp!

Construction

The sound produced by the solid spruce top on this Triple Oh Brown Sunburst model is optimised by Yamaha's A.R.E process. Spruce is known for its bright sound with tight bass and clear treble. Warmth and depth are added by the use of rosewood for the sides and back of the guitar. An ebony fretboard adds even more warmth to the sound and gives the LS-TA a high level of playing comfort too.

Yamaha's TransAcoustic guitars make it sound like you're playing in a specially-designed concert hall no matter where you are. This is achieved by the use of a digital preamp that produces reverb and chorus effects.
