Yamaha LS-TA TransAcoustic Vintage Tint Electro-Acoustic Guitar

The sound of an acoustic guitar being played in a room with great acoustics is hard to beat. Unfortunately, most us of us don't have access to such a room, however, which is where Yamaha's LS-TA Triple Oh electro-acoustic guitar comes in. It features a TransAcoustic system that gives you a wonderful acoustic sound by sending the preamp's signal back into the body of the guitar for reverb and chorus effects without the need for an amp! No wonder Yamaha is referring to this as a (r)evolution in guitar design.

Construction

Naturally, Yamaha weren't going to put their new TransAcoustic technology into any old guitar. The LS-TA has a solid spruce top that 's been treated with Yamaha's Acoustic Resonance Enhancement process to give it a richer vintage sound. The sides and back are made of solid rosewood to add warmth to the spruce's brightness, resulting in a well-balanced sound, which is completed by a 5-ply mahogany and rosewood neck featuring an ebony fretboard. Reverb and chorus effects are down to the System 70 TransAcoustic preamp along with the piezo pickup.
