This 12-string electro-acoustic guitar is a perfect marriage of ergonomic playability and a full, rich sound. The Yamaha CPX700II-12 in a natural finish has a solid spruce top and a neck, sides, and back made of nato, which is often referred to as a sort of Asian mahogany because of its similar sound characteristics. That in combination with a medium-jumbo body are what give this Yamaha CPX700II-12 its relatively deep low and crisp, clear high tones.

In order to amplify the layered sound of this 12-string properly, Yamaha uses the A.R.T. (Acoustic Resonance Transducer) pickup system. Underneath the bridge, there are two contact pickups the ensure an accurate registration of the rich, acoustic sound. The Yamaha CPX700II-12 Natural has a System 64 preamp on board with a volume control, a 3-bands EQ, and a tuner. Using the AMF button, you can filter out feedback by adjusting the amount of mid-tones.
