The SLG200S is a top steel-string Silent Guitar by Yamaha. SLG200S: packed with clever electronics

The Yamaha SLG200S is fitted with the SRT-Powered system, which was specially designed to emulate the tonal properties of a traditional acoustic guitar. Additionally, you can use three effects, including two types of reverb and chorus to add an extra dimension to your tone. The LINE IN makes it possible to connect an MP3 or CD player so you can play along with your favourite songs. Amplifiers can also be connected via the LINE OUT, and thanks to the headphone jack it's possible to practise privately.

Traditional focal points

Yamaha has modelled the contours of the Silent Guitar after the shape and size of a traditional classical guitar with great detail. The guitar has a waist for your leg and a place for your fingers to rest, so you get the feeling and grip of a traditional guitar while you play. Ik speel en oefen graag op vreemde tijden op de gitaar en daar zijn mijn buren niet blij mee (begrijpelijk). Met deze silent guitar van Yamaha kan ik op elk gewenst moment spelen: koptelefoon op en gaan! Dat is een heel groot voordeel en heeft mij het plezier in het spelen weer teruggegeven! Je hoort uiteraard wel iets (vergelijkbaar met een elektrische gitaar), dus iemand bij je in de kamer kan horen wat je speelt, maar het bereikt de buren niet.
Nadelen van de silent guitar (ik heb de versie met nylon snaren): snaren zijn iets dikker dan van een Spaanse gitaar en zitten daardoor ook iets dichter op elkaar. Voordeel daarvan is dan weer dat na het oefenen op de silent guitar het spelen op een klassieke gitaar je gemakkelijk afgaat. Ik vind het geluid van de klassieke gitaar ook mooier, warmer. En tot slot: je moet een aparte versterker kopen om zonder koptelefoon hoorbaar te spelen.
Maar dat ik mijn speelplezier terug heb, maakt alles goed. Ik ben er dus super blij mee!

Je me suis mis à la guitare depuis un an et celle-ci est donc ma seconde guitare. Bel instrument de musique qui me permet de m'exercer sans "casser les oreilles" de mon entourage. Très content du son produit par l'instrument, tant avec écouteur que via un ampli. Je recommanderai certainement ce produit.
