The Yamaha FG Series has been around for so long that it's legacy stretches back for two generations, furnishing beginner and experienced guitarists with an excellently built and finished playing partner for over 50 years. The models have evolved over that time and have been polished off and improved over decades to result in the FGX800C: the electro-acoustic edition of the bang-up-to-date FG800 acoustic guitar and the follow up to the FG700. Fitted with a pickup and preamp system, this more stage-ready model can be played amplified or unplugged.

A Powerful Build

The FGX800C may be an entry-level model, but like it's ancestors, is guaranteed to please both beginners and advanced guitarists alike. It boasts a warm, powerful sound thanks to a solid spruce soundboard and the enhanced basses and mids provided by the newly scalloped bracing. The upgraded neck has a more slender shape and the fretboard edges have been artfully rolled for a faster, smoother, and more agile playing feel, completing a comfortable model. And, since this is the electro-acoustic version, it also comes with a built-in tuner.
