General

Yamaha's FS steel-string guitars were developed as a more compact alternative to the FG Dreadnoughts. Yamaha have been producing the series for over fifty years with great success partially due to their signature solid tops that provide a rich, warm sound.

Electro-acoustic guitar

The FSX830C NT is the electro-acoustic version of the FS830. You can plug it directly into an acoustic guitar amplifier and amplify the sound for an intimate performance or for just playing at home. The cutaway in the body allows access to the highest frets and the enhanced scalloped bracing ensures better bass and mid-tone projection. The neck is also slender and features rolled fret edges. This 830 model has dark rosewood sides and back for a rich, resonant sound and the soundhole is adorned by a decorative abalone rosette.
