Alesis Crimson II Mesh Kit electronic drum kit

General

The Crimson II 9-piece drum kit by Alesis has two 12-inch cymbal pads with choke function and a 14-inch triple-zone ride cymbal. It also features a 12-inch hi-hat and includes a DMHat hi-hat pedal. In terms of drum pads, you've got a 12-inch dual-zone snare on a stand, two dual-zone 8-inch rack toms, a 10-inch dual-zone floor tom and an 8-inch bass drum pad at your disposal. The Crimson II module offers 671 samples and 54 pre-programmed kits.

Crimson II Drum Module

The Crimson II would be nothing without a module for customising the sound of your kit. As well as pre-programmed kits, you can create and save 20 kits of your own and even add your own sounds by loading WAV samples into the module via a USB stick (sold separately). Assign the samples to the pad of your choice then play along with the 120 built-in tracks or make use of the aux input to playback music from your mobile device or MP3 player. There's also a metronome function to help keep time while you record in your own sessions. 

Connectors

On the rear of the module, you'll find several connection options such as a mini jack headphone socket and a stereo jack line output, so you can use headphones or plug into an amp. You can also connect the Crimson II to a Mac or PC via the USB MIDI connection and use the kit as a MIDI controller to record directly in your DAW. This already extensive kit can also be expanded further by adding an extra tom or cymbal pad (not included).
