General
The TD-30KV is the absolute best of Roland's digital drum kits. Some would even say it is the best available electronic drum kit, period. This top model from the V-Pro series is highly complete, featuring four toms and three cymbals of the most advanced type, with Rim and Motion Sensor. In this elaborate set, the drum kit is combined with a hi-hat and a snare drum stand, a bass drum pedal, a drum throne, a pair of drum sticks and a pair of headphones. With this complete and professional setup, you are all set for live shows, studio sessions and intense rehearsals.
TD-30 module
At the heart of this digital kit is the TD-30 module. Like many other Roland products, it is equipped with SuperNATURAL technology. With the additional help of modelling algorithms, a lively, dynamic sound is created, from drum rolls to rimshots. Each detail of your sound, from microphone settings to kit configuration, can be adjusted in minute detail, enabling you to build your own virtual drum kits. Naturally, your hardware has an important influence on your playing experience as well. The mesh heads of the TD-30KV kit offer a pleasant stick response - nothing like the 'dead' feel provided by hard, rubber pads. The cymbals also feel very similar to acoustic models.
The components of the set
This budget-friendly set leaves nothing to be desired. In addition to the TD-30KV (including rack), it provides you with Gibraltar hardware from the solid 5700 series: the 5706 snare drum stand, the 5707 hi-hat stand and the 5711S bass drum pedal. A seat is provided by the stable and height-adjustable Pearl D-790 drum throne and you can start playing right away with the included set of Vic Firth 5A drum sticks. The high-quality sound of the TD-30 module reaches your ears via the Roland RH-5 headphones, which block out all ambient noise thanks to their closed construction. In short: the ideal set for any drummer!
