The Yamaha DTX522K is the first of the DTX502 series of electronic drum kits by Yamaha. This particular set is intended for multifaceted drummers looking for an affordable instrument. Front and centre is the DTX502 drum module (responsible for the sounds) together with the revamped, extra comfortable and realistic playing pads, including a snare, kick, 3 toms, a hi-hat and 2 cymbals. Thanks to the improved RS502 rack, the drum kit is easy to set up and take down.
TCS
The Textured Cellular Silicone used to make the snare of the Yamaha DTX kit is a Yamaha innovation that even won them the the coveted Quiet Mark award. The material ensures not only an enormous amount of dynamic expression, but also an incredibly pleasant playing feel. It's also exceptionally quiet. Practicing in silence with headphones isn't a new thing, but with a digital drum set like the DTX522K your sessions will be more civilized than ever.
The Drum Module
The DTX502 drum module has 32-voice polyphony along with 691 drums and 128 other sounds onboard, spread out over many various acoustic and electronic drum kits. The module also has a sequencer that can be used for recording drum patterns as well as improving your playing through diverse practice programs. Use the USB output to send your drum tracks directly to your computer as MIDI information.
