Al in bezit van een Roland AE-20 en daar speel ik al 3 jaar heel leuk mee. Alleen de knoppen vind ik wat minder. Die willen nog wel eens blijven hangen en ik heb al drie een knop gehad die afbrak.
Gewoon uit nieuwsgierigheid wezen kijken naar de Diosynth, eenmaal in mijn handen was ik al snel verkocht. Hij speelt heel lekker. Wordt zeer compleet geleverd. Hard case en de standaard zijn echt top. Bij de Roland is dat helaas anders.
Kan niet echte zeggen dat hij enorm veel beter is dan dan Roland AE-20, maar hij is zeker niet slechter en voelt solider aan (dus afwachten of er geen knoppen afbreken of blijven hangen).
Als ik met de kennis van nu, mijn eerste windsynth moest kopen zou ik voor de ASM gaan. Ook omdat deze inclusief de bij behorende software is. Bij de Roland zit ook wel iets, maar wil echt geluiden maken en naar je instrument uploaden, dan kost dat je extra voor de volledige software en dat is jammer.
Diosynth vind ook wat fijner vast houden en voelt degelijk aan. We jammer dat de knoppen niet vrij programmeerbaar zijn. Dat is bij de Roland wel weer wat beter.
Ik ben met beide blij. Bij de ene heb je wat en bij de andere laat je wat. Maar omdat de Diosynth completer wordt geleverd en de bediening tijdens spelen wat natuurlijker aanvoelt, gaat mijn voorkeur naar ASM Diosynth

Speelbaarheid: ik ben van huis uit fluitist en dus heel blij met de optie voor die vingerzetting. Dit betekent wel dat een aantal (saxofoon)knoppen niet gebruikt worden, maar dat is geen probleem. De "kleppen" voelen natuurlijk aan. Wel verbaast het me dat er geen mogelijkheid is om in de software de vingerzetting per noot te wijzigen, zoals dat bijv. wel kan op de Roland. Wellicht komt er nog een firmware update die die mogelijkheid biedt.
Het geluid: er staan standaard heel veel geluiden op, in meerderheid synth-achtige sounds.
