Wrote the following about TC Electronic Mimiq Mini Doubler effects pedal
Het idee is heel goed. Door het signaal te splitsen en na elkaar (met lichte "ongelijkheden qua timing en aanslag) af te spelen krijg je een breed stereo-achtig geluid. (Dit kastje is mono, z'n grotere broer stereo).
Met een beetje tweaken is het inderdaad mogelijk een dikke, brede sound te krijgen.
Het probleem na inschakeling is echter tweeledig:
a) het volume van je gitaarsound gaat een stuk naar beneden
b) de toon verandert aanmerkelijk. het hoog wordt "teruggedraaid"
Ik heb van alles geprobeerd: transistorbak, buizenbak, vooraan in effectenketen, aan het eind van de effectenketen, alles zonder resultaat.
Als TC Electronic de problemen weet op te lossen (of iemand mij kan vertellen wat ik fout doe) dan sta ik weer vooraan in de rij om er eentje aan te schaffen, (en dan de stereo versie)
