Lehle Julian Parametric Boost Pedal

Give both low and high impedance signals a solid boost while adding in some parametric EQ, all in one shot and all courtesy of the tight Lehle Julian stompbox. This Parametric Boost pedal is a direct descendent of Sunday Driver Series pedals, so you're essentially getting an extended edition of the Lehle Sunday Driver SW plus the extra-useful functionality of a parametric mid and treble control pot, resulting in a versatile booster pedal that can be set up to send a higher signal to a valve amplifier, giving you more natural distortion. The parametric mid-boost is ideal for sculpting the sound to taste and can even be tweaked to mimic the sound of some classics, including the Dallas Rangemaster and Hornby Skewes Treble Booster. Since these little legends had a pretty low impedance, Lehle has even supplied a switch for shifting things down from 1 MOhm to 10 kOhm, just so you're assured of some authentic character.

The Lehle Julian: Versatile, Dynamic Sound

The addition of the Treble control pot immediately hands guitarists and bassists more detailed control over their sound and, in proper Lehle style, every setting as you scroll from dark to light, never gets too dead or too shrill. You can even fine-tune the resulting overdrive of your amplifier via the Gain pot, which has a plus and minus 15 decibel range to support super-cleans as well as super-distortions. Meanwhile, the Julian always delivers a clean output signal thanks to a high-grade JFET input stage, which is something pretty special, since its specific dynamic comes down to the fact that the incoming current is corrected, stabilised and then doubled up to 18 Volts, directly after the power port.

Switchable Bypass

When this pedal is kicked off, you get two possible bypass modes: True Bypass and True Sound, toggled by a switch located on the rear panel. In TB mode, the input and output are directly linked via gold-plated contacts, so the original sound of your instrument is fully retained - in other words: zero loss of tone (ideal for more compact set ups, short cables or, say, if you place a fuzz right after your Julian). In TS mode, the Julian serves as an active buffer that neither strengthens nor colours your signal, making it the better option for more complex effect configurations and longer jack leads.
