DBX's equalizers are the industry standard for touring, studios and audio installations. That makes sense considering the consistent high-quality performances of DBX during the last forty years. The DBX 231S is a great-sounding and affordable 31-band equalizer that uses the know-how that the brand has amassed over the past years. It meets the stipulations of the most demanding sound amplifier situations, but it is very easy to use.
The DBX 231S has two 31-band channels. The bands are still 1/3 octave apart in frequency and can be attenuated or amplified by 6 dB. Via a switch you can increase the range to +/- 12 dB. Furthermore, the input amplification of both channels can be separately controlled between -12 dB and + 12 dB and a low-cut switch can be activated. If you activate this low-cut switch, all frequencies beneath 50 Hz are attenuated with 12 dB per octave.
The 231S provides exceptional sound and real reliability. It has an extensive frequency response of 10 Hz to 50 kHz and a dynamic range of 112 dB.
